Way too easy. This game could be as good as banished if it were just difficult, its kindof a slog with no real challenge. Relaxing though.. It's okay but not great. Gets pretty boring after a bit. There's little challenge even at the very beginning, There's no attachment to the pawns - they're completely interchangeable. If one dies, you'll just get another soon. The controls and interface are clunky.. So far I am finding this one of the most adictive and interesting games to date that I have purchased. I have only been playing it in normal speed taking my time trying to achive the number of animal kills and builds the game sets forth for extra points for the tech tree before moving on to later periods of tech and time and not to move onto other types of animals either. Playing in normal mode so far. Hungry Lion prides, protective mother bears and wolves oh my! Seeing the changes in animal migrations people and animal behavier learning to take advantage of animal kills for resorces and more. I strongly sugest using the Primal vision often and watch to see if wolf packs or Lion Prides are keeping other animals away from your people which can make it hard to get skins, meat and bones for use. Sometimes they help drive them to your people other times they can keep them away from you. Mamoth's and other heavy Herbavor's defend their young fiercly and often leave dead preditor's for you to scavange Primal Vision will help you see and find all of these situations. The visuals and dynamics of the game are great and getting better with each update the Developers are putting out. With only playing in 1x speed never speeding up and enjoying the game the way it is meant to be it will take a long time to reach the later dates in time and I will fully get to enjoy all it has to offer and understand all the time period changes. Only things I see missing is the stone age start living in caves and using leanto's and bone weapons and rocks the bronze age in the tech tree needs leather armor as well and then to steel armor in later times with shields too. One last sugeston please remember to sound the warning horn when a raiding party is close to your village your domesticated dog's and all armed villagers will attack them together while all unarmed people head to the huts for cover and stay safe. Those domesticated dog's will be your best fighters against all attackers animal and human alike. While some things are missing there is no doubt it covers a lot and is very enjoyable to me at least and I have played a lot of games over the years of this type and can not find a lot of fault with it. You will find more fault with my spelling I am sure after my strokes! LOL. Game is really fun to play for a while. Only one major design flaw from my perspective, which ruins this game entirely for me. The last objective in most scenarios is to reach a population of 150. That means playing hours after hours with a population between 130 and (150 - n), where n >= 1. After you reach a population of about 140, the game slows down birth rate and migration rate dramatically. I had more births with a pop of 30 than with 140. Also every winter 1-20 stupid people die from cold. Every now and then someone dies because they refuse to eat or drink. So you play hour after hour, you already have build everything, you have so much food you could feed 10 times as much people. My prestige is nearly on maximum. It is simply not fun. Change this last milestone, or increase the birth and migration rate by an factor 2 or 3. Otherwise I cannot find joy in watching my population stagnate, with nothing to do, besides every 10 minutes hitting the alarm button, because Raiders attack. You could also give us an alarm bot, when raiders attack, alarm is don automatically. Then I would let it run, when I am at sleep and would get the last milestone sometimes.. This is my first reviewFun RTS\/survival with base building. My first day of playing, I started off as a tiny tribe of hunter-gatherers, and then I finally domesticated dogs, man's best friend. The next day I played so much that by the end of it, I had stone walls guarding a booming city with surrounding farmlands, with horse and donkey carriages entering and exiting its many city gates, and livestock roaming about.Amazing game. And less micromanagement than others of similar gameplay (like Banished).
